The Visionary Philanthropy Group Inc. (VPG) empowers at-risk youth, returning citizens, and vulnerable populations through technology training and essential life skills that promote self-sufficiency and economic stability. Led by Founder and CEO Nyene Baker, a returning citizen who transformed his life following federal incarceration, VPG embodies authentic, lived-experience leadership. Mr. Baker's journey from a 180-month federal sentence to becoming the first returning citizen from Trenton, NJ, to receive the prestigious Russ Berrie Making a Difference Award demonstrates our organization's transformative impact.

VPG has served over 280 individuals through evidence-informed programs including the Returning Citizens' Motivation Program 101 (served 20 participants in partnership with the City of Trenton), Violence Prevention and Intervention Program (reached 100+ youth with three returning citizen facilitators), Google BreakBeatCode Program (included three trips to Google NYC headquarters), and Grow with Google Career Certificate Scholarship Program (awarded 45+ scholarships with six completions leading to employment opportunities).
