Recognizing Suicide Prevention Awareness Month

"September is National Suicide Prevention Month – a time to remember the lives lost to suicide, acknowledge the millions more who have experienced suicidal thoughts, and the many individuals, families and communities that have been impacted by suicide. It’s also a time to raise awareness about suicide prevention and share messages of hope."

We can all help prevent suicide. The 988 Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones, and best practices for professionals in the United States.

Zero Suicide: It Can Be Done

Capitol County Children's Collaborative is part of the nation-wide Zero Suicide Initiative believing that all suicide deaths are preventable. Organizations in the Health & Behavioral Health Care Systems that have employed Zero Suicide have found an inspiring 60-80% reduction in suicide rates among those in their care.
