Still Here Youth Enrichment Program
Building Resilience, Leadership, and Hope in Trenton's Youth

The Still Here Youth Enrichment Program is a dynamic, trauma-informed initiative created to support youth who face systemic barriers to academic, emotional, and social development. Through a holistic approach grounded in Positive Youth Development & restorative practices this program offers a nurturing environment where young individuals can heal, grow, and thrive.

Core Approach

Trauma-Informed Framework
Many youths have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). STILL HERE creates a safe environment that prioritizes emotional regulation, mental wellness, and relationship building.

Positive Youth Development (PYD)
Rather than focusing on risks or deficits, the program highlights youth strengths, encouraging leadership, confidence, creativity, and a sense of belonging within their community.

Engaging, Hands-On Programming
youth-friendly activities that embed awareness & learning into fun and practical experiences.

Leadership & Personal Growth
Opportunities for youth to take initiative, make decisions, and discover their unique strengths.

Social-Emotional Wellness
Activities and workshops that build self-awareness, empathy, communication, and emotional regulation.

Educational Support & Mentorship
Academic encouragement paired with mentoring relationships to foster accountability and vision.

Community & Recreational Engagement
Creative outlets, community service projects, and wellness-based recreational activities that build positive peer connections.

Collaboration & Community Impact

This program doesn’t just serve individuals—it creates a ripple effect of resilience, strengthening homes, schools, and neighborhoods by nurturing confident, emotionally aware, and community-minded young people.

Restorative Circles

Promoting healing by allowing all parties to express their emotions and perspectives. Teaching empathy and listening skills. Preventing relational problems before they escalate. Providing a dedicated, protected time for social-emotional learning
