I am a passionate and devoted advocate for mental health. After studying English at the undergraduate level, I received my master’s degree in social work. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I aim to help clients through challenges and always approach therapy and the therapeutic relationship from a position of empathy and understanding. I believe that all clients have a unique life story and that it is within this story that healing begins. Using a client-centered approach, my goal is to be a fellow traveler with the client through whatever unique challenges or problems present themselves.
I have experience treating a range of presenting problems, including, but not limited to, anxiety and depression, grief work/loss, mood disorders, behavioral problems, family issues, and trauma recovery. I offer individual psychotherapy sessions utilizing a wide range of interventions, tailored to your unique presenting problem.
The foundation of my clinical practice is empathy, understanding, and non-judgement. Whatever issues you bring into therapy will be validated, respected, and I will strive to understand them in order to best help you. I will view you as the "expert" in your life and aim to go with you through whatever you are facing.
