For 90 years, the YWCA Princeton has been the heart of a vibrant community, serving Mercer County and central NJ through educational and recreational classes, social services, advocacy, and leadership development. We are a not-for-profit organization with thousands of women, men, children and families as members.

We offer an array of classes throughout the year such as adult education, adult salsa dancing, aikido, aquatics, arts and crafts, babysitting certification, ballet, biking, book clubs, brazilian jiu jitsu, chess, children’s musical dance, citizenship preparation, dance, drawing, early childhood education, English as a Second Language (ESL), judo, gymnastics, hip hop funk dance, intro and multi-level swim classes, martial arts, messy play, mother-daughter tap dancing, needlework, nursery school, piano, poetry, salsa dancing, swim therapy, parent-child arts and play, quilting, Red Cross and Lifeguard Certification, and waterbaby/toddler swim classes. We can even host your child’s birthday party!

Our Breast Cancer Resource Center (BCRC) provides information and support to women and families affected by breast cancer and public education. Our Wellness Program started in 1972 is now offered nationally. Our more than 20 offerings include wellness workouts, yoga, pilates, tai chi, diet education, counseling, lunch-and-learns, community outreach, and a variety of support groups.

The Nursery School at the YWCA Princeton provides a safe, nurturing environment in which all children can flourish. We offer high quality, specialized care in addition to before and after school day care. Our After School Program in the public schools makes available specialized enrichment programs.  And, we offer week-long camps during the spring vacation and winter school breaks.

Our popular Summer Youth Camps all offer a variety of exercise, creative fun, and loads of activities. Campers can participate by the week or the entire summer! Our specialty summer camps include Fun Camp, Ballet Camp, Adventure Camp, Gymnastics Camp, and our popular Adventure Teen Camp. All promise lots of engagement and fun!

For decades, our Newcomers Club has welcomed those new to the area hosting workshops, outings, socials, and “Friday with Friends.”

Special events are held throughout the year such as our magical Cinderella Ball, Family Ice Cream Bingo, Father-Daughter Valentine Dance, Hot! Salsa Hot! Adult Dancing, NJ State Judo Championships, “Women’s Empowerment Workshops, “Nurturing the Nurturer” Caregiver Conference, Women’s Equality Day and much more.
