CancerCare's New Jersey office provides free support to children and adults with cancer, post-treatment survivors, caregivers and bereaved individuals in both English and Spanish.

General CancerCare Services

  • Resource Navigation
    CancerCare provides free telephone resource navigation in English and Spanish to people living with cancer, post-treatment survivors and caregivers. Our professional resource navigators and oncology social workers help to address the practical challenges that arise from cancer.
  • Individual Counseling
    Our licensed oncology social workers provide free individual counseling in English and Spanish centering on emotional and practical challenges to anyone affected by cancer residing in New Jersey. Counseling is available in person, by online video-conferencing or by telephone.
  • Educational Workshops
  • Leading experts in oncology provide up-to-date information in free one-hour educational cancer workshops over the telephone or online. Workshops can also be downloaded as MP3s or as webcasts with closed captioning.
  • Publications
    Our free, easy-to-read booklets and fact sheets written by experts provide reliable information on cancer-related topics in English and Spanish. Publications can be read online and downloaded. Print copies are also available to be ordered using our online form.
  • Financial and Co-Pay Assistance
    We offer limited financial assistance for cancer-related costs and co-pays, and our professional oncology social workers can help you find additional resources.

New Jersey Services

  • Wig Clinic
    Women diagnosed with any type of cancer who are receiving chemotherapy are eligible to receive a free wig. We provide new and gently used wigs in a variety of lengths, colors, and styles. We offer both in-person and virtual appointments.
  • Magnolia Meals at Home
    This meal delivery program aims to help people with cancer by providing free nourishing meals to households affected by cancer. The program is currently available in Bergen and Essex counties, NJ, and Westchester and Rockland counties, NY.

New Jersey Support Groups

CancerCare’s virtual support groups provide a safe place to exchange support and receive information and guidance while discussing the unique challenges of living with a cancer diagnosis, caregiving, and grief and loss.

New Jersey Community Programs

  • La Hora Del Café
    La Hora Del Café are free quarterly meetings to support Spanish-speaking people living with cancer and their caregivers by providing information, education, and resources, as well as suggestions to foster positive emotions while coping with a cancer diagnosis.
  • Healing Hearts Family Bereavement Camp
    Our free Healing Hearts Family Bereavement Camp allows families who have experienced the loss of a loved one to cancer to come together for a weekend retreat. Each year, families spend three days in the beautiful Poconos. Fun activities like horseback riding, fishing, and games are combined with therapeutic grief activities led by CancerCare professional oncology social workers.
