Holistic Behavioral Solutions

Sometimes life throws us a curve ball and we are confronted with issues of addiction, autism, depression, anxiety, justice system involvement, relationship negotiation, identity crises and so much more. The process of life can be complex; with skilled support, every individual can navigate through life’s changes successfully.

As a result of our philosophy to meet individuals where they are, we offer counseling services that are community-based, in office, online, and concierge services in the home.

We believe that helping people to change one day at a time involves creating an environment that is beneficial to them. HBS offers creative problem-solving, unconditional support, and consistent care for our clients, we are solution focused and provide evidenced-based care in a therapeutic environment where we can be our best. Holistic Behavioral Solutions is a practice of 4 licensed clinicians, 3 certified behavioral assistants, and 4 community aides headed by Tamara Pommells LPC, LCADC.

Beginning her work in 1996 at the Douglass Developmental Disability Clinic @ Rutgers University and working with youth and adults in the acute treatment population including the areas of addiction, Ms. Pommells’ practice has grown as a reflection of her varied interests and life circumstances. Today, Holistic Behavioral Solutions continues to grow and enjoy the challenge of new clients and community partners, currently, we offer services to include EAP, Wellness Coaching, Intensive In Community Counseling, and Brief Outpatient Treatment. Currently, we are partnered with agencies and families in 12 counties from Mercer County, NJ to NYC.

Our mentors and behavioral assistants utilize an individually designed plan to bring out the best in every youth they encounter and our licensed clinicians have a strong personal and professional commitment to our global village. We are dedicated to our communities and therefore, are active agents within our local area through the Pan-Hellenic council, local schools, and various volunteer activities. We provide individual, family, couples, and group counseling as well as telehealth sessions via our website.
